Shellman has come across a large number of monumental works since its
foundation in 1971, and understands that such outstanding wristwatch functions
as the minute repeater and perpetual calendar always attract watch lovers.
However, Shellman also realize that mechanical watches tend to be expensive
owing to its complexity. Grand Complication, for instance, is priced extremely
high and might be practically impossible for the average timepiece lover to
obtain.
Furthermore, user-friendliness has been less likely to be added to such
mechanical and complex watches, and one might consider that the maintenance
of the watch seems difficult as well even if he/she once obtains it.
Shellman created the world's first super-complication-watch with quartz
movement. The company has developed the world's first "practical super-complicated
high-grade watch", naming the masterpiece "Grand Complication".
Receipient of Japan's prestigious "Gold Award" and "Watch of the Year",
The Grand Copmlication is also on permanent exhibit at the renowned
"La Chaux-de-Fonds" watch museum in Switzerland.
